portrait, fine art & wedding photography capturing natural beauty, love & happiness
Q & A
- What should I wear?
Those who are being photographed by themselves have a lot of freedom with wardrobe. Have fun with it, accessorize, bring your favorite things as props. You have the option of a clothing change so if you come casual bring something a little more dressy. Always your very best!
For family sessions I recommend trying to limit wardrobe to two colors. Which ever two your heart desires. Maybe stay away from screen prints and busy T’s if you feel like they might be distracting. Have fun with accessories and props! (we’ll chat about stylizing and themes)
- What is the best time of day to schedule a shoot?
It’s best to shoot either mid morning (8am) or in the evening (5:30pm-7pm), but definitely changes from season to season! All sessions are on-location and shot using natural light, those times generally provide the most flattering lighting. Have to take advantage of that beautiful sun!
- Do I own the rights to my images?
I retain the rights, but you have rights to print as you wish.
- Do you work on Sundays?
- Can I bring a list of shots that I want?
Absolutely! I’m there to combine my creativity with yours.
- We are very interested in booking you, what’s the next step?
Shoot me an email or give me a ring! From there we can chat about scheduling the shoot and set up our first meeting to discuss: what you want out of the shoot, pricing, themes (if desired) & location.
- How far in advance should I book?
I ask that portrait sessions be booked 2 weeks in advance. Weddings 6 months in advance, but if you’re in a pickle a month before the wedding still get in touch – you never know :)
- Is the engagement session included when I invest in wedding day coverage?
Yes! A full engagement session is included with all wedding packages.
- Why choose Loren to shoot my awesome wedding/portraits?
If you’re really excited about photos, want a photographer who will swim in the Allegheny to get the perfect shot, love a warm lively style of shooting, you’re easy going and maybe even a little weird – we’d be a great match :)
